Made by Finell, the placemats manage to avoid the campy aesthetic usually attributed to fractal graphics by avoiding the rainbow-hued, spastic monstrosities we usually get when we think about fractal graphics on computers. Instead, they stick with a single color for each placemat that, when combined with the 3D construction (as in, the placemats have slightly raised areas), looks absolutely like three-dimensional land terrains laid out under your plates, bowls, and serving trays.
The Join Facet Placemat is made from silicone, with molded 3D fractal patterns that create the stunning appearance.
