Build Heavy-Duty Tables With The Floyd Utility Set

Sure, the Floyd Utility Set isn’t exactly something that will help you make the most stylish tables. If you don’t mind the industrial aesthetic, though, this heavy-duty table kit should prove very handy, giving you the ability to cobble up an emergency table in a cinch that you can just as quickly disassemble for hiding in a closet.

Similar to the original Floyd Legs, this set comes with four table legs that you can clamp onto flat boards, like old doors, thick pieces of plywood, and other similarly suitable objects that can function as tabletops. Unlike it, the set comes with cross bracings, allowing you to build sturdier tables that you can use for dining, sports (e.g. table tennis), and even workbenches (not as sturdy as regular workbenches, but it should be able to handle a lot).

The Floyd Utility Set consists of four powder-coated industrial-grade metal legs, two cross-bracing straps to keep the table from wobbling, and four rubber feet so your floors don’t get damaged, along with a carrying case to keep them all in when not in use. Each of the legs sport integrated clamps for easy installation, along with designated hooking points for the straps that simplify the cross-bracing process. It can clamp onto any tabletop up to 1.875 inches thick, so you can build reasonably sturdy tabletops with the rig. When set up, the resulting table will stand 29.5 inches tall – ideal for dining rooms and other household applications.
